Projects Winter Term 2021/22
In winterterm 2020/21 the seminar "RoboTeach" was offered for the fifth time at the Philipps-University of Marburg. The final projects are described in detail on this page.
What is NAO doing?
Playfully, the students deepen their knowledge of the Present Progressive in English lessons. They create movements for the robots and use them in a quiz. Their classmates then have to guess what NAO is doing at that moment.
CityGuide NAO
Where are we? How do we get to the museum or the stadium? These are just some of the most important questions abroad. In this microproject, students playfully practice describing routes in English using NAO.
Romantic Poetry
What influence does romanticism have on today's world? Let's find out with a romantic poem and a modern humanoid robot. Students interpret a poem and create a robot application in small groups. Afterwards, the scenes will be presented in class.
Natural Disasters
More and more natural disasters due to climate change? What disasters are there in the first place and what influence do they have on nature and life as we know it? This and more is what the students (SuS) learn in this microproject. In addition to a self-learning phase, where they learn about natural disasters, the students then program a quiz with the information.
Discovering Ireland
Besides interesting historical events, Ireland also offers a beautiful landscape. Let your students explore the country extensively and then program a robot application. As a conclusion, there will be a presentation in front of the whole class.
Deeping of the 9-Point Field
Performing arts and humanoid robots, how does that fit together? We are using the humanoid robot NAO to explore the principle of the 9-point field in a novel way. The students will program a robot application on this topic in a longer project.
NAO as an environmental activist
Are the students (SuS) concerned about the environment? NAO is and he wants our beautiful earth to be preserved. Unfortunately, he doesn't know that much about our environment and how to protect it, so he still has a lot to learn. In a project, the students develop a robot application in which NAO acts as an environmental activist.
NAO presents
Shakespeare's dramas are cool, but what about an alternate ending or action thread? Students interpret a play by Shakespeare, familiarize themselves with the Choregraphe software, and reprogram a key scene with the robot. They then perform this scene in front of the class.
